Prior experience in scientific publishing: Dr. Huh has volunteered as an editor-in-chief of Ewha Medical Journal (EMJ) since September 2023. He took on the role of journal manager because EMJ is a non-profit publication of the Ewha Womans University College of Medicine. No honorarium is paid to the editor-in-chief.
Dr. Huh graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1982 and received a PhD in parasitology in 1990. He became a tenure-track faculty member in parasitology at Hallym University in 1988. He retired in February 2024 but continues teaching as an Emeritus professor for medical students. In 1991, he joined the Korean Journal of Parasitology (Now Parasites, hosts and Diseases) editorial board and continued in this role until 2021. As a founding member, Dr. Huh has participated in the Korean Association of Medical Journal Editors since 1996. He has also edited the Journal of Educational Evaluation for Health Professions since 2005. His passion for medical journals in Korea has flourished through the establishment of KoreaMed and KoreaMed Synapse, as well as the foundation of the Editors' Academy. He has also worked as a founding member of the Korean Council of Science Editors since 2011. He has served as a member of the Steering Committee for Scopus Expert Content Selection & Advisory Committee (2021-Present).
He has published articles on editing and publishing, a list of which is available at http://orcid.org/0000-0002-8559-8640. His main interests include adopting measurement theory in medical education and journal consulting. He has always respected expert colleagues in manuscript editing, English proofreading, illustration, PDF layout design, information technology engineering for XML production, homepage management, and e-submission system management. He enjoys attending orchestra or opera recitals with these colleagues or editorial board members.

Prior experience in scientific publishing: Ji Yeon Byun has been a professor of dermatology at Ewha Womans University College of Medicine, Korea, since 2012. Dr. Byun has voluntarily served on the board of the Ewha Medical Journal and currently holds the position of Associate Editor.
Dr. Byun earned her medical degree from Ewha Womans University College of Medicine in 2004 and completed her Ph.D. in dermatology in 2012. She has been a faculty member at Ewha Womans University Hospital since 2014.
In addition to her dermatology roles, Dr. Byun has contributed to various editorial committees for the KDA and KSID and has been involved with the Korean Association of Medical Journal Editors, particularly on the Committee for Planning and Administration from 2017 to 2020. Her current primary interests are dermatology, immunology, and journal editing.
Membership in professional associations: Dr. Byun is an active councilor of the Korean Dermatological Association (KDA) and participates in several of its member societies, including the Korean Society for Investigative Dermatology (KSID), the Korean Society for Immunopathology, and the Korean Society for Psoriasis. Prior experience in scientific publishing: Dr. Chung has voluntarily worked for Ewha Medical Journal since 2016 and currently serves as an Associate editor. She graduated from Ewha Womans University College of Medicine in 2005 and received a Ph.D. in laboratory medicine in 2015. Dr. Chung has worked as a clinical faculty member in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Ewha Womans University Hospital since 2012. She worked as a board member of the Korean Association of Medical Journal Editor for Information Management from 2020 to 2023. She has been Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Clinical Microbiology since 2022; before that, she was an Assistant Editor of the Annals of Clinical Microbiology from 2012 to 2021. Dr. Yang has been a clinical professor of neurosurgery at Ewha Medical Center since 2014, specializing in surgery and treating cerebrovascular diseases. Prior experience in scientific publishing: Dr. Kong has worked for Ewha Medical Journal as a Statistical editor since 2022. She served EMJ as an editorial board member from 2017-2021, and statistical editor from 2011 to 2016. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Preventive Medicine, Ewha Womans University College of Medicine since 2017. After graduating from Ewha Womans University College of Medicine in 1997, she got the board of family medicine in 2002. She received her Ph.D. in preventive medicine in 2009. She has experience working as a consultant for epidemiology and statistics in the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency from 2009 to 2011. Prior experience in scientific publishing: Dr. Dombrowski received a joint PhD in 2013 from the University of Chicago in Linguistics and Slavic Languages/Literature. Subsequently, he completed a post-baccalaureate health professions program at UC Berkeley Extension and has worked as a professional biomedical editor since 2015 at Compecs Co., Korea. During that time, he has edited over 3,500 articles from diverse medical fields, ranging from public health and policy to surgical specialties and basic research. His magical English proofreading has made the manuscripts more logically structured and easily understandable.

She finished her residency at the University of Alabama, Internal Medicine, in 2009 and at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center, Emergency Medicine, in 2012. She has worked as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at New York Medical College—Metropolitan Hospital since 2015. Although she works in the United States, her love for alumnus college is reflected in the journal promotion, which has excellent English-language quality.

He works for several PubMed Central (PMC) journals, including the Journal of Animal Science and Technology, Food Science of Animal Resources, etc. His XML production was excellent, so there was no problem validating the JATS XML to deposit to PMC. Also, the journal homepages he produced were excellent for readers.
